When Should I see a Chiropractor?
We all have minor twinges of pain from time to time, but if pain does not ease over 48-72 hours, or it gets worse, that is the time to have it checked. If the pain is caused by some trauma, injury or fall, early assessment and if needed treatment, speeds up recovery.
How Do I Make an Appointment?
For an initial consultation call us on 0131 339 9451 and speak to Pamela or Jacqui who will arrange an appointment for you as soon as possible. Normally, the same or following day. If you are covered by private health insurance, please let us know when you book your appointment. You can also reach us via our Chiropractic Health Contact Form.
What Happens at The First Visit?
During the first visit (consultation) the Chiropractor will aim to get to the root of the problem. A full case history will be taken, followed by a physical examination which will include neurological, orthopaedic and Chiropractic tests. At the end of the consultation the Chiropractor will discuss the findings and where appropriate, discuss a course of treatment.
There are times that more information may be needed such as a report, x-rays or MRI. When all information is gathered, and with your consent, treatment can commence. If your condition is found to be out with the scope of Chiropractic, your Chiropractor will offer alternative advice or referral.
Not sure if Chiropractic care is right for you?
We offer a free spinal screening appointment as an opportunity to discuss your individual case with a Chiropractor and to determine if Chiropractic can help.
Please note: There will be no treatment provided on this visit. If we are able to help with your problem, you will need to book a full new patient consultation before any treatment can begin. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to phone the clinic on 0131 339 9451 and speak to one of our team, or send us a message.
